Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Now before I talk all things green, in celebration of this national holiday of my great homeland, who even was St. Patrick? Well I thought you’d never ask.

St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. Legend has it that he drove the snakes out of Ireland, but his true legacy lies in spreading Christianity across the Emerald Isle. Celebrated on March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day has evolved into a global celebration of Irish culture and a sea of green festivities.

Beyond the parades and pints of Guinness, St. Patrick’s Day is a time for let’s face it, drinking too much. I have had some epic Paddy’s Day over the years, top few being, in Aspen skiing (nursery slopes as was learning), Aspres ski resulted in me sledging on a drinks tray, in full fancy dress, another one was watching Ireland win the Six Nations in Twickenham, and final one was in a Karaoke bar in China, full of people trying to take selfies with me, token Irish person! Some great stories, even better pics.

In homage to my favourite colour, here are some bits, in green I am loving right now.

Let’s start with of course the Adidas Spezial, with lovely light green laces. I bought these last week and they are even nicer in the flesh. These will get plenty of wear as the weather improves.

Next this cameo hoodie from Scamp & Dude a nice touch with the pink neck string. I have a few bits from S&D and they are such lovely quality, would highly recommend you go check out their stuff.

Then we have this really cool cropped army green bomber from H&M, lovely with a white tee and casual relaxed jeans.

Next up is a little bit of luxury this beautiful small cross body bag from Gucci. I have this in red and the chain just elevates this bag to another level. It’s small, just enough for your phone and a few bits of makeup. It’s a perfect going out evening bag.

I just love this necklace from Rachel Jackson its a heart birthstone necklace but I am picking green as I’m not really into birthstones.

Then to my favourite brand at the moment Ganni, this lovely little mini ‘Bou’ bag it's so playful with the lovely top handle, it also has a long strap so it can be worn crossbody, it comes in 12 different colours and for a high end brand the price at £285 isn’t too bad.

I talked about Hunza G in my strips update last week, but I have to include this stunning neon green bikini, the colour is absolutely stunning.

Then some gorgeous green earrings from Monica Vinader, I have a larger version of these and they just look stunning on.

Socks, these are from rock & ruby, super soft and just look great under jeans or under a dress with your sambas. Never underestimate great socks.

Next up a this lovely green cashmere light weight cardigan from M&S, again don’t underestimate how a beautiful cashmere cardigan can make an outfit look. M&S cashmere is reasonably priced and washes well.

Next up Nike Blazer, I have these in white and black I just love a hightop under dresses or with legging these ones are so cool.

I saw this Tiger Jumper at Oliver Bonas and just loved it so much, a lovely mint summery green crew neck with some exceptional tigers. Went straight into my basket.

Now for some home stuff, I have wanted a Gluggle jug for god only knows how long, it has so much nostalgia for me. My mum had a glass one when we were kids, she kept it in the bathroom. A few years ago on New Year’s eve, we went to a country pub for dinner, and they served the water in black Gluggle jugs my teens loved them, it reminded me of home straight away, so of course I bought one.

I am trying to make a real effort to look after my houseplants, I am much better after some research, thanks to The Cinematic Fly on Tik Tok for all the tips. I bought this lovely plant mister to help give me plants some TLC. I mix 50/50 water and hydro peroxide and so far so good.

I bought a gold LED table lamp from my favourite interior designer Abigail Ahern, she has so many to choose from, even one in green, but what a great idea, pop them anywhere, no wires, fully rechargeable, brilliant, because you know the rule, you never, ever, put on the big light!

Next up, I honestly can never have enough candles, and I love a glass candle holder. this one from Graham and Green is just divine. Brings a little tropical addition to your dinner table.

How do we feel about sunglasses chains? You love them! Good, thought so, look how fabulous this one is. Chunky green & gold links for your favourite shades. Sunshine, Sun Lounger, Spicy Margarita, bring on holiday time!

Obviously I can’t forget to talk about makeup, and where do you start, green eyeshadow of course, and to my favourite palette from Natasha Denona, the Yucca palette with lovely greens and golds. These eyeshadows are stunning, they stay on and the pigment is so beautiful worth the investment.

Then of course Victoria Beckham Kajal Liners in olive. It is super soft, and glides effortly onto the eye lids. It comes with a smudger to smoke it out, a truly lovely eye pencil, this fabulous smoky green is perfect, black is just too harsh as you get older.

I think I have covered enough green options to show you how much I love it, being the quintessential colour for Ireland, I had to take the opportunity to share my love for this amazing colour on the most important of day for everyone Irish.

Happy St’ Patrick’s Day Everyone. S x
